Fashion made out of recycled materials in collaboration with THEATRE PRODUCTS

JEPLAN collaborated with the designer brand THEATRE PRODUCTS (THEATRE PRODUCTS; Location: Tokyo Shibuya; Director: Akira Takeuchi) and designed fashion items with recycled polyester fabric. The collaboration items, which are part of the 2017 SS collection “GOLD MINE” are all made out of chemical polyester extracted out of materials like PET bottles, collected from consumers.

One dress we designed together was also presented as “THEATRE PRODUCTS 2017 Summer-Fall collection” at the New York Fashion Week. We also had the opportunity to collect old and unwanted clothing.

In December, our recycling factory in Kitakyushu will start operation. We are planning to recycle old polyester clothing there, in order to turn them into new pure polyester fiber which can then be reused.
This newly introduced chemical recycling of polyester will allow us to manufacture polyester fiber with the same quality as petroleum based polyester.

■New York Fashion Week Theatre Products PRESENTATION
・Loaction:Industria 40 Bethune Street, New York
※There will be an collection box for old clothing at hall 1 until the 28th of February

The Fuku Fuku project will become one with the PLA PLUS project and we will introduce the Brand name “BRING”

◎Brand name=BRING
On one side "BRING" is just the action to transport something from A to B, but we want to encourage you to "bring" your old and unwanted clothing to the collection spots.

Our character represents our work perfectly, it collects unused pollen from flowers to turn it into honey. We collect unwanted materials and turn them into useful resources.

The work and its purpose stays the same.
We recycle clothes and other materials to manufacture something new.
The URL of the brand website also changed.
We are planning to use mostly the project name BRING in the future.
