■ Program Content
The program highlights an innovative recycling technology that could help address naphtha shortages. Developed by JEPLAN’s CEO, Masaki Takao, the technology breaks down used PET bottles at the molecular level and regenerates them into materials equivalent to virgin quality.
By completely removing impurities, this chemical recycling process enables repeated recycling without degradation in quality.
JEPLAN is also expanding the application of this technology to the recycling of polyester used in textiles, attracting attention from companies in Europe, where environmental standards are stringent.
The program follows this pioneering effort to tackle both resource scarcity and environmental challenges through technological innovation.
