This innovation produces recycled PET resin using only used PET bottles as feedstocks, without petroleum-derived feedstocks, contributing to the realization of a circular economy.
Recycled PET bottles made using recycled PET resin produced with this technology will be partially adopted in Asahi Soft Drinks' "CALPIS SODA 1.5L" starting this month and offered on a test basis for the time being. The JEPLAN Group utilizes proprietary PET chemical recycling technology to break down used PET bottles to the molecular level and remove impurities to produce HELIX, a recycled PET resin with the same quality as petroleum-based products.
