Display at the G20 Innovation Exhibition and an award from the Japanese government

An ecobag we developed along with The Organic and Condé Nast Japan was selected as a gift for national representatives attending the “Ministerial Meeting on Energy Transitions and Global Environment for Sustainable Growth,” a meeting held in Nagano, Japan as part of the G20 Osaka Summit (2019). This bag was partially manufactured using materials recycled from marine plastics (PET bottles recovered from the ocean as part of cleanup activities), demonstrating the possibility of recycling marine waste that might otherwise be incinerated. We also used a similar recycled material to create scarves given to the partners of G20 attendees participating in the “G20 Osaka Summit Partners’ Program”as souvenirs of Japan.
