With the cooperation of AEON Hokkaido Co., Ltd., we collected empty PET bottles from customers shopping at three AEON stores in the Sapporo region. We recycled those bottles as fibers, which we used to create T-shirts for fans of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters baseball team. The following summer, these recycled shirts were given to the first 5,000 attendees at a Fighters home game, where they were well received. Such coordination with a professional sports team is one example of how we are creating opportunities for people to experience recycling in a fun way.
